A single Name of the Lord is so powerful that one cannot commit as many sins as it can erase even if he were to take a vow to commit only sins.
The sin committed in other forms of worship is cleansed by Chanting the Name of the Lord. The sin committed while chanting the Name of the Lord can be cleansed only by chanting the Name of the Lord again and again.
