Question

Which is more important factor for success? If I attain success, people say it is because of 'God's grace. But if I fail, who is responsible? Hard work, ability, time, approach, effort, luck?

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji:

All the above are necessary for success. 'Luck' is the word non-devotees use. Devotees call it as grace. In fact, true devotees do not question the reason for either success or failure! To them both are due to God's grace!

Success needs the combination of these three factors - God's grace (we receive this by chanting and earnest prayers), Right efforts and Time (Grace and efforts together gives success in right time).

Question

If I "keep on trying", when will I get success?

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji:

When the time is ripe, success comes. That is the reason we need to keep our faith high. When the farmer is ploughing the soil, sowing seeds, clearing weeds (keep on trying with constant efforts) and with grace of God (rains) the crop is ready for harvest after a length of time.

Question

I believe in God, but is there a right time for success? Is there a separate chapter for God and astrology?

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji:

It is all in one Chapter only. God is the main Chapter, astrology being a sub heading!
