What is the essence of all the Shastras, the Brahma Sutra, the Bhagavad Gita, the Upanishads, etc.

By chanting the Name of Bhagavăn one attains Atma Jnana, Jivan Mukti state

The greatness of Hari Nama Sankirtanam lies in the fact that this is one mărga (path) that apart from taking one to eternal bliss gives immeasurable joy even while practising it.

The essence of the endless Vedas is this : Seek the shelter of God and repeat His name with all thy heart.

Chant the Mahamantra Nama kirtan :

Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare

The essence of the endless Vedas is this : Seek the shelter of God and repeat His name with all thy heart.

The result of the cogitations of all the Shastras is also the same; Tuka says: The tenet of the eighteen Puranas is also identical.

Adi Sankara Bhagavat Pãdãl who, in the beginning, blessed thousands of 'grantãs' for the welfare of the world finally sang, 'Bhaja Govindam! Bhaja Govindam! Bhaja Govindam moodamate!' -- 'Oh! Fool! Why do you struggle with the study of the Shãstrãs? Chant the Name of Govinda!' said Sankara. Sankara who has written a commentary ('bhãshyam') for the Vishnu Sahasranama has concluded it thus - 'by chanting the Name of Bhagavãn one attains Atma Jnana, Jivan Mukti state. This does not require article ('draviyam' -) of worship. It does not involve any 'jiva himsai' (harming a life). It is an easy sadhana.

हंस रूप कोई साधु है, सत का छाननहार ।।

It means that discriminative people are rare who can distinguish God and the world.

By hearing spiritual discourses and chanting the divine names........ conceives a liking for Me without any effort the moment My virtues enter his ears

Nama Article 19th November 2011

Srimad Bhagavatham (3:29: 18, 19)

By hearing spiritual discourses and chanting the divine names; by unity of mind, speech and body, fellowship with holy men and absence of egotism, the mind of the man engaged in activities intended to please Me gets thoroughly purified and conceives a liking for Me without any effort the moment My virtues enter his ears.

This little Dhruva is doing tapas with the blessings of Narada Maharishi. Narada Maharishi's 'anugraha' (Blessings) is protecting the child, as would the strong armour. We are, therefore, unable to disturb his tapas!

Mere chanting of the names of the Lord would not fetch you food. You have to put in your efforts.... You cannot achieve anything without self effort.

Namakirtan will bring down the whole tree (mind) with out any effort

The oral repetition of the Name leads one to mental repetition which finally resolves itself into the eternal vibration. The mind or the mouth cannot act without the Self.

Next morning when he got up he remembered without any effort the name of Rama and was much pleased

"When a huge tidal wave comes," says Bhagavan Shri Ramakrishna, "all the little brooks and ditches become full to the brim without any effort or consciousness on their own part; so when an Incarnation comes, a tidal wave of spirituality breaks upon the world, and people feel spirituality almost full in the air."

Chant the Mahamantra Nama kirtan :

Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare

His simplicity and purity have inspired many young people to follow the path of dharma

Pursuit of joy is the single common driving force for all life-forms and that search continues in many different directions. Our scriptures and saints teach us that true eternal joy that does not have a droplet of sorrow can be found only in self-realisation. In order to attain the same many different paths have been enlisted by the scriptures.

However, in this age of Kali, given the robotic hectic lives we all lead it is said that to chant the Divine names of God is the simplest, sweetest, practical and most blissful path to self-realization. Innumerable Mahatmas have incarnated in Divine Bharath to drench the world in bhakthi and nama kirtan. One such living Mahapurusha today is His Holiness Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji of Tamil Nadu, South India, a saint of the highest order who is ever lost in the bliss of Krishna bhakthi. Sri Sri Swamiji is not merely intoxicated in Krishnaanubhava all the time, but pours forth the same upon all jivas who have His association and is the guiding light to countless across the world today. His simplicity and purity have inspired many young people to follow the path of dharma.

The rarest of the rare is getting a Uttama Guru. When you have a Guru, you can peacefully rest.

How do we know that the Guru is pleased with us?

No one else pleases me the most than the ones who Chant Mahamantra!

When a disciple leads his life with the clear understanding that it is the Guru who is running his life - adverse or otherwise, completely emptying the mind of personal likes and dislikes, seeing everything as Guru's leela, attains realization

Guru's Word is the root of Mantra

God is for all. Each and everyone have the right to attain God. Bhagavan Nama japa is the universal way

'Gurohu anugrahenaiva puman puranah prasantaiye'

We would feel that there is none as rich as we are because we have got such a Guru Ratnam

Bhakti is all about showing gratitude.

It is the Guru who shows that way, and the gratitude shown to such a Guru is Guru Bhakti

How to show our gratitude to our Guru?

The only act a true devotee can do is to chant Nama to express the gratitude to the Guru for the grace showered on the devotee.

Having compassion of the Lord as the foundation, the one which has no rules, the one which can eradicate the force of Kali, Namakirtanam is the only resort. I think again and again about this with in Myself

Chant the Mahamantra Nama kirtan :

Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare

Most of you are running the Divine Name Centres (Năma Centre) in your Towns/Villages/Cities and go about knocking at each door seeking alms - alms of Divine Name chanting! Your efforts shall not go in vain.

Nama Article 17th November 2011

Excerpts from a discourse by our Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji at Madhurapuri Ashram during Oct 2006 on Sri Sri Swamiji's Jayanthi day

Today all of you have gathered here from far and wide. What has drawn you all here? 'PREM' (LOVE)! The bond of Love between you and me has drawn you all here. What else can it be? There is no other occasion other than this. Most of you are running the Divine Name Centres (Năma Centre) in your Towns/Villages/Cities and go about knocking at each door seeking alms - alms of Divine Name chanting! Your efforts shall not go in vain.

The Maha Mantra

"HARE RAMA HARE RAMA RAMA RAMA HARE HARE!

HARE KRISHNA HARE KRISHNA KRISHNA KRISHNA HARE HARE!"

the only way for redemption in Kali Yuga and is going to reverberate in every nook and corner of the world!

Only due to merits earned in crores of births does Bhagavan Năma come on our tongue

Which is THE BEST DHARMA?

Of all religious practices, japa (repetition of divine name) is said to be the supreme practice

One can attain the highest goal only through dedicated endeavors of japa.

There is no knowledge or vow, meditation or acquisition which is equal to Divine Name

We should Chant and remember the Divine Name every breath we intake and we need not try to do anything else.

Having compassion of the Lord as the foundation, the one which has no rules, the one which can eradicate the force of Kali, Namakirtanam is the only resort. I think again and again about this with in Myself

Indeed there is one great virtue possessed by the Kali age,

Kalikaala Uchitam Dharmam Namasankirtanatmakam

As long as you search for peace outside yourself, you will not attain it. To find the peace within you, please chant the Mahamantra always, thinking of Lord Krishna and surrendering to Him.

The secret that will help you realize happiness

Everyone desires peace. But it does not come by easily. Neither the rich nor the poor enjoys peace

The true purpose of our existence is to realize God in ourselves. No other purpose is equal to or more significant than this.

To think 'What is the purpose of my Creation' is the very purpose of Lord's Creation

The true purpose of existence can be understood only if one attains a Guru

People perform actions for the sake of happiness; but they neither attain happiness nor succeed in ending their sorrow thereby

Chant the Mahamantra Nama kirtan :

Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
