यन्-नामधेय-श्रवणानुकीर्तनाद्

यत्-प्रह्वणाद् यत्-स्मरणाद् अपि क्वचित्

श्वादो'पि सद्यः सवनाय कल्पते

कुतः पुनस् ते भगवन् नु दर्शनात्

 

 

By occasionally hearing and chanting Your names, bowing to You or even remembering you a lowborn becomes worthy of adoration in this very life. There could be no doubt, then, about one's attaining the object of life by Your divine sight.

The only certain course for success declared unanimously by all the sages of yore is the hearing, chanting, and meditation of the Glory of the Divine Name of Sri Hari

 

Pure love towards Me is developed by hearing My praises, having My darshan, meditating on Me and by Chanting My Divine names and glories.

 

The holy places themselves owe their sanctity to this confluence (the Lord, the Devotee and the Name). Auspicious, indeed, is every moment spent at the Saints' feet.

 

He used to say: 'I have spoken the name of God once. That is enough. How can I remain a sinner?
