Inspite of Chanting the Divine Names for a long period of time and being beside Bhagawan always, there is a feeling that there is no substantial improvement and infact there is a increase in emotional expressions. What is the reason for the same?

"வெகுநாள் நாமம் சொல்லியும், பகவானுடன் கூடவே இருந்தும், அதிக முன்னேற்றம் இல்லாதது போலும், உண்மையில், உணர்ச்சி வெளிப்பாடுகள் இன்னும் அதிகமாக இருப்பது போலவும் தோன்றுவதன் காரணம் என்ன?" என்று ஒரு பக்தர் பகவானிடம் வினவியபொழுது,

 

ஆஸ்ரம கட்டுமான பணி நடந்த இடத்திற்கு அழைத்து சென்று, "இங்கே பார்! இந்த இடத்தில் எவ்வளவு பெரிய பள்ளங்கள் தோண்டி வைத்துள்ளனர். மணலும் சிமெண்டும் அங்கங்கு குவிந்து, பார்ப்பதற்கு  எப்படி இருக்கிறது! ஆனால் இவையெல்லாம் நடந்தால் தான், ஒரு நாள் இங்கு அழகான ஒரு மண்டபம் உருவாகி நிற்கும். அதுபோல்தான் சாதகனின் வாழ்கையும்" என்றார்.

 

A devotee asked, "Inspite of Chanting the Divine Names for a long period of time and being beside Bhagawan always, there is a feeling that there is no substantial improvement and infact there is a increase in emotional expressions. What is the reason for the same?"

 

Yogiramsuratkumar took the devotee to the Ashram construction site and said, "Look here! How they have dug huge pits here. Sand and cement are all over the place and see the way it looks! But, only if these things happen, one day it will evolve and a beautiful worship place will come here. The same is the case of the life of a person who takes up spiritual practices.

Don't stop chanting for any reason. The rest of the things will be taken care of automatically. - Once a similar question was asked to Bhagavan Ramana. Bhagavan replied, "If the fort is to be captured, firstly all the soldiers from inside the fort should be allowed to come out and be killed one by one."

 

The name of God is more powerful than the senses. It will become all right in time if you practise regularly.

 

Keep the Name of the Lord spinning in midst of all your activities. Have intense faith in God, and in His Name, know that they are not different.

 

This is not a matter that comes about either on its own or suddenly. That which arises suddenly might disappear just as suddenly.

 

किं दुष्करं नराणां  ? What is difficult for human beings? यन्मनसो निग्रहः सततं  The constant control of the mind.

 

किं स्मर्त्तव्यं पुरुषैः ? हरिनाम सदा न यावनी भाषा What is to be remembered by people ? Always the Name of Hari; not the jargon of the unregenerate.
